We are blessed to be at Verdugo Pines Bible Camp! Our story began over 30 years ago. I became a Christian at the age of 15 while attending Claremont Bible Chapel and attending "Boys Brigade" with Dave Dixon. I was saved, baptized, and then I went to camp. When I stepped up to sign in to my first camp I was greeted by the sweet and smiling face of the registrar who happened to be Catherine Bourbonnais! I experienced first-hand how a positive, encouraging environment can influence someone's life. Over the years, I served as counselor, summer staff, lifeguard and special projects. Renee and I served together on summer staff and in November of 1989 we were married in the chapel at Verdugo. Stu Mitchell performed the ceremony and we were blessed to have many family members enjoy a weekend camp that culminated with church on Sunday and then a wedding! After over 20 years in Advertising God has graciously allowed us to come back to Verdugo and we are thrilled to be serving at camp full time. Our kids are seeing first-hand how fulfilling serving God can be. Our prayer is that God will allow us to serve Him here for many years to come. The work is hard and the days are long but the joy of seeing young people come to Christ and be drawn closer to Him exceeds our expectations every time. We are honored to be here and we covet your prayers as we serve our Lord at Verdugo Pines Bible Camp.
